History:

Greenly's was founded in 1914 by Arthur John Greenly, a founder member of the IPA. It started in the Strand, moving to Fleet Street and then in 1952 Berkeley Street. In 1962 Greenly's was taken over by the Lonsdale-Hands Organisation.

Scope/Formats: Guardbooks contain press advertisements for a wide range of leading brands dating from the 1920s, including Bassett's confectionery, Craven A cigarettes, Toblerone, VitBe, Ecko etc. Corporate papers and correspondence relate to Greenlys and various companies and subsidiaries. There are also early promotional publications and leaflets, business records and correspondence.
