| BURSARY FIRST
Allan Rich, retired chairman of Mediacom, became the first friend of HAT to take up the Bursary scheme launched in November 2009. A package of privileges including access to HAT’s marvellous archives and TV commercials, has been bestowed on New Buckingham College and this gets under way next month.
Bursaries taken up by Sir Frank Lowe, Geoff Russell and Sir John Hegarty, are now being placed with various educational establishments. These will spearhead HAT’s aim to reach young people in their quest for past advertising images, campaign background information and an all-round knowledge and understanding of advertising and brand history as it is today and how it was presented during its illustrious past. A résumé of all Bursary donors will be included in our next e-newsletter, once their Bursaries are in operation.
