L M Masius was the head of this firm and formed Masius & Ferguson in 1943. It became Masius Wynne-Williams in 1951 and merged with D'Arcy MacManus in 1973 to become D'Arcy Masius MacManus.

Benton & Bowles opened a London Office in 1958, their first outside the USA. In 1985 several agencies merged to form D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles (DMB&B). In 1999 DMB&B was taken over by Leo Burnett.
