Research visits
Please contact us using the form below with your name, the name of your learning organisation (if applicable), the subject of your study and, if known, the material you would like to see. Alternatively, please telephone us on 01508 548623 to make your appointment (HAT is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm). This should be arranged at least one week ahead of your intended visit as search room availability can be limited. You can also fill in the form below to book a visit.
HAT staff will be happy to discuss the appropriate archive resources available to assist your project and offer advice as required. There is also an overview of HAT's main collections available here.
Once you are here our helpful and knowledgeable staff will do their best to provide you with relevant material in the quiet environment of our library and search room. They will also be on hand to support your research interests and assist in any way they can throughout your visit to HAT.
Please note students under the age of 16 years need to be supervised by an authorised adult.

Commissioned research
HAT’s friendly, helpful and knowledgeable research team can also undertake commissioned research on specific subjects for researchers who are unable to visit HAT in person. Get in touch for our private and commercial research rates.
