2017 saw HAT’s first EDUCATION SUMMIT hosted at the University of West London. Attended by academics from a wide number of disciplines including Advertising, Branding, Marketing & Communications, History, English, Art and Graphic Design, the Summit included presentations, guest speakers and workshops. These workshops gave HAT the opportunity to consult more directly with academics and teachers to find out more about how teaching modules are planned and how HAT could provide content and resources for enhanced teaching and learning which would really respond to their needs.
The launch of HAT’s
Inspiring Minds project, a series of filmed interviews with industry legends, in 2018 has proved popular with teachers across HE as a resource incorporated into many modules and lectures. HAT has gone on to develop a series of
Inspiring Minds Podcasts and is constantly adding more interviews with a focus now on more recent ‘minds’.
The EDUCATION SUMMIT in 2020 saw a proposal for students to work with HAT on a competitive live brief, the results of which have culminated in the launch of the
HAT Collective in October 2021 led by Dr Dennis Olsen and developed by his students of
Advertising & PR and Media & Communications at the University of West London.
