Admin History: Contains much of the history of W5, the Skin Treatment invented by Dr Josef Kapp. This illustrates how a health and beauty product invented in Germany in 1927 with genuine scientific proof of efficacy became a best seller in many countries by the late 1930s. After World War II it returned to the market, albeit after Kapp's death, but gradually dwindled in sales because of advertising controls and government regulation. Abandoned as a medicine by the manufacturer/distributor but revitalised in the 80s by Larkhall through reclassifying as a dietary supplement product. There was a large residual awareness of W5 built since 1935.
